ABOUT COLLEGE

Sir Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology is located in Nashik district of Maharashtra. The college is financed and run by Pravara Rural Education Society which was established by in 1964 by Late Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil. Sir Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology. The college is affiliated to University of pune and approved by all India council for technical education (AICTE) New Delhi and Government of Maharashtra.

The main objective of opening SVIT is to impart quality and technical education in the state of Maharashtra and to provide an opportunity to the deserving students of Maharashtra and to make students readily acceptable to the corporate world and promote entrepreneurship.

Campus The college campus is spread over an area of more than 73 acres and surrounded by hills, well connected to road, railway and air. Located on Nashik/ Pune Mumbai/ Shirdi highway about 12 km from Nashik road central railway station. The site is very beautiful like hill station. Being away from city the atmosphere is free from pollution and noise.

The college has well furnished & equipped library with national & International Journals, Separate Utility Block comprising of Canteen, STD booth, General Stores, Laundry & bank extension counters to assist the students, separate hostel facility for boys and girls, computer labs with high speed internet connectivity. the placement cell is the most important part of the college the objectives of the placement cell include helping students to plan their future career, maintaining liaison with prospective employers, preparing students for interviews, and getting placements in Corporate sector.
