ABOUT COLLEGE
Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Science
(SHIATS) was established in the year 1910 as a Christian minority
institute named Allahabad Agricultural Institute by Dr. Sam Higginbottom
in pre-independent India. It was the first institute provided the
education in agricultural engineering in the year 1942. It was declared
as a deemed university recognized by the ACU and NAAC in the year 2000.
In the year 2009 it has renamed as present name. The campus is approved
by MHRD, New Delhi. It is recognized by the Board of Technical
Education, State Govt. of UP.
