ABOUT COLLEGE
Haribhai V. Desai College of Commerce was established in 1984. The single faculty college began to grow with maximum academic excellence in the central part of Pune city. The PGK Mandal’s Haribhai V.Desai College is established with the aim of developing and pursuing programs to ensure that eligible students who desire to expand their skills towards self-improvement, self-employment and life. An educational institute is not just about bricks, mortar and concrete, but about building character, enriching minds and about new experiences that lasts a lifetime. Life is not a set of instructions but is a series of experiences and learning process. This is where HVDC steps in – to make a difference and where learning is not just series of instructions but a passion, which goes beyond books, instructions, and learning horizons. The mission of our college is “To create a center of academic excellence in the field of higher education for the development of the right skills oriented towards self-improvement, self-employment and life.” Objective of the college is to advance the cause of higher education among middle and lower income groups and amongst the students from traditional business sections.
