Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Management & Research came into existence way back in the year 1994, and has come a long way since its inception, with each year of fabulous growth and academic excellence.
Today, the Institute offers MBA and MCA as core programmes approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Govt. of Maharashtra and affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University. The brand DYPIMR has carved a niche for itself among the prestigious Institutions in and around Pune.
DYPIMR was established by Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil, a well-known philanthropist, educationist and social reformer. Under the umbrella of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidya Pratishthan Society, a chain of a large number of educational establishments are catering to every need of education from the primary level to the level of doctoral degree under various disciplines. Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Management and Research - DYPIMR, at Pimpri, Pune - 411018 is located on the campus of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidya Pratishthan Society. The Institute functions under the leadership of Dr. P. D. Patil as a Chairman.
DYPIMR is located, near old Mumbai-Pune highway, Pimpri, at a distance of 15km from Pune railway station and 20 KM from the airport.

Minimum Eligibility
The minimum marks for qualifying examination (degree of three years with maths/stats at 10+2 level or higher) are 50% aggregate for open and 45% in case of candidates of backward class category and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra state only.
