MAEER'S Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), established in 1983, is today amongst the top engineering colleges in Pune . The news magazine 'Outlook' has ranked MIT Pune as 1st in Maharashtra & 11th in India amongst the finest Private Engineering Colleges. MIT is affiliated to the University of Pune and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. MIT, Pune Institutes offer four year degree courses in various branches of engineering and post graduate courses in select areas. Admission to all courses is based on merit as per rules and norms laid down by the Director Technical Education ( DTE), Maharashtra State.

Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research Pune was founded with the collective efforts of many devoted experts having long and outstanding academic experience in the field of professional education. Today MIT offers under graduate engineering studies in nine disciplines: Civil Mechanical Mechanical (Sandwich) Electronics & Telecommunication Computer Information Technology Petroleum Petro-Chemical Polymer and post-graduate studies in three areas: Civil structures Polymers and Petroleum along with industry specific technology-oriented courses.

Admission Criteria

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject AND Secured minimum 50% marks (minimum 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject added together.AND Obtained a positive Composite score* i.e., marks obtained after adding 50% of JEE (Main)2014 (Paper 1) marks and 50% of normalized Standard XII (Board or Equivalent Examination) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
