ABOUT COLLEGE

Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) is a government engineering college located in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh. SGSITS was established in the year 1952 as a technical institute offering diploma courses in various engineering disciplines. The college has been given the status of an autonomous college by the UGC in the year 1989. The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya.

Campus:
Shri GS Institute of Technology and Science, Indore (SGSITS) is located in the heart of Indore city. The college campus is spread in an area of 35 acres of land and consists of academic and  residential blocks where the headquarters of the staff of the college is situated. The college has good connectivity with other states and cities by fast and frequent transport facility.

Facilities:
SGSITS, Indore has good infrastructure with all academic facilities like well equipped labs and workshops, spacious and well ventilated classrooms, computer centre with internet connectivity, seminar hall and auditorium, central library with good collection of books and journals, audio/video and electronic learning resources, the college provide separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, sports facility, canteen and mess facility etc.

Placement:
SGSITS, Indore has a separate training and placement cell which helps the students in their training and placement related activities. The cell organizes training programs for the students and invites various companies to recruit the students. Every year many graduating students get placed in the reputed companies of the world.
