Prof Diganta Saikia from the department of finance participated in the World Finance & Banking Symposium which took place in Hanoi, Vietnamduring December 17-18, 2015.Prof Saikia chaired the first session of the conference on “Corporate Governance and Agency” where a number of brilliant papers were presented by a galaxy of academics.He presented his paper titled “Model Risk and Validation Challenges Behind CCAR Models: Lessons from a US Regulatory experience”, which was very well-received. Prof Saikia’s paper has been one of the pioneering papers in the space of CCAR models.Comprehensive Capital Analysis & Review (CCAR) is a supervisory assessment by the Federal Reserve of the capital planning processes and capital adequacy of the large, complex bank holding companies (BHCs).
